Hartford proud to support future talent

Started 4 years ago, the annual ‘Skills Test’ challenge for Construction Programme students at University College Isle of Man (UCM) moves to a whole new level this year with a first ever inter-island challenge against Highlands College Jersey’s students.

Premier island developer Hartford Homes’ Director Norman Greenhalgh explains the importance of the work done by UCM and why Hartford are proud to support it.

“Any company of long-standing, like Hartford, only get to where we are through the efforts of our people and by looking constantly to the future. The excellent opportunities the University College Isle of Man (UCM) Construction Program offer is essential to our industry on the island and generates much needed skills. We are delighted to support this great annual initiative that challenges the students on many different levels to complete in their respective trade.”

The event takes place in the Baillie Scott Wing, UCM, Homefield Road on Friday 15th March from 10.30am to 4.30pm and schools, members of the public and the construction industry are all invited to see the cream of the island’s next generation construction trade professionals in action against their Jersey rivals.
