Hartford Homes site manager Dominic McGreevy has been honoured with a prestigious ‘Seal of Excellence’ accolade in the second round of the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards.

Now in its 37th year, Pride in the Job is the most highly regarded competition in the house-building industry and celebrates site managers who achieve the highest standards.

Dominic, who picked up the award at a gala ceremony in Belfast, was acknowledged for his dedication to quality at Hartford’s Castleward Green development in Douglas.

Hartford Homes director James Greenhalgh: “We are delighted that in addition to the Quality Award he picked up in the first round, Dominic’s dedication has now been recognised with the much-coveted Seal of Excellence.”

Dominic was selected from more than 16,000 UK site managers and was the only local site manager to be recognised in the first and second rounds of the competition. He was also one of only eight from the Northern Ireland & Isle of Man region to win a Seal of Excellence.

Judging for the awards is rigorous, beginning in July 2016, with each site manager assessed across 44 areas including technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and the quality controls in place.

James added: “The award is a great advert for his and the entire team’s professionalism in delivering the homes at Castleward Green to the very highest level of quality.”

Completed earlier this year and now sold out, Castleward Green is an exclusive development of two luxury five bed detached homes set just off Ballanard Road on the outskirts of Douglas.

Commenting on the development, Dominic said: “It’s a great example of the integration of modern, luxury family homes built within a well established residential area. The site holds its own, whilst not disrupting a long established residential area.”

Dominic, who has worked for the family-run building firm for more than seven years, was previously crowned a regional winner in 2015 for his work on the super-luxury, 16,000 square foot Belvedere House at Montreux Court, Douglas. He also picked up a Quality Award in 2012 for Royal Buildings, Onchan.
