Lois Mooney scoops Hartford-sponsored third prize in ‘The Next Big Thing’
Congratulations to Lois Mooney who sang her way in to third place in 'The Next Big Thing' grand final on 20th February.
The 15-year-old singer was presented with a prize cheque for £150 sponsored by Hartford Homes.
Lois, who performed the ode to a barista Taylor the Latte Boy on the night, is a fan of musical theatre and has previously played the lead role in a local production of Annie.
Run by Manx Charity Junior Achievement for a fifth year, the under-18s talent contest saw 15 finalists perform live at the Gaiety Theatre.
Dozens of local acts including bands, dancers, singers and musicians auditioned to take part in the contest, which is considered as the Isle of Man's answer to Britain's Got Talent.
This year's guest judge, singer/songwriter and former EverYoung member Jack Morlen, performed the opening number which was followed by a song from the winner of The Next Big Thing 2015, Jenny Hill.
