Hartford continues to support the Erin Arts Centre
Hartford Homes has extended its sponsorship for community-based arts facility the Erin Art Centre in Port Erin.
The local family-run building firm has become a corporate member of the organisation for a third year, helping them provide a venue for arts-based activities including music and theatre.
Hartford Homes director James Greenhalgh said “We’re delighted to support such an important part of the local community in Port Erin and indeed the Isle of Man.”
He added “It’s such a long-established and entrenched part of the south of the Island that has touched thousands of people’s lives. We believe it’s vital to give something back to the local community in a place where we have a presence.”
One of Hartford’s latest developments, Windsor House, is on Port Erin’s upper promenade. The block of nine apartments was completed earlier this year and has just one apartment remaining. The building is only a few yards away from Erin Arts Centre on Victoria Square so Hartford became very acquainted with the Centre during its build process.
Set up in 1971, the Centre not only provides an auditorium for performance arts, but also features a dedicated gallery space which is also used for education, presentations and lectures.
The venue is currently hosting the 41st Mananan Festival, a music and arts celebration running daily until July 2 featuring various events including jazz and classical performances, a floral art exhibition and silent film.
